Dip Yourself

Chapter five of 2 Kings gives the account of Naaman “dipping himself” in the Jordan to be healed of leprosy. In this class, Pastor Jim builds on this example to show how, in a similar manner, New Testament believers are instructed to immerse ourselves in the Word of God. Then, when we are squeezed with symptoms or negative reports, the promises of God will to flow out.

Give Thanks…You Are Still Here!

As believers, it is important to cultivate and maintain a thankful spirit and attitude. A vital key is learning and operating the unforced rhythms of praise. We do this by intentionally setting our hearts and countenance upon the Lord and His Word, even in the midst of challenging times and circumstances.

The Good Word of God

Can we believe what God says? The Bible says that God is not a man that He should lie, so what He says, He will do. Just as Abraham believed God's promise of a son, we believe His promise of healing. He sent His word and healed them. That is a promise. His Word is good. Believe it and be healed!

…And Be Ye THANKFUL

Psalm 118:1 says, ‘Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for HE IS GOOD! For His mercy endures forever.” Apostle Paul echoes this by stating, “in everything give thanks.” As believers, we are able to give thanks in spite of what we may be going through when we make God the object/focus of our affection and attention. Pastor Seun teaches that there are tremendous benefits to be had when we live lives marked by thanksgiving and praise.

Prayer for healing / Identity Crisis

Mark 11:24 says whatever things we ask when we pray, believe you received them and you will have them. Does this apply to healing also? In the opening lesson, Johnny answers this question and gives us examples of how to pray concerning healing. In the second lesson, Julie uses Colossians 2:9-10 to teach how identity is important to our healing. We need to get the revelation that our true identity is in Christ and not an illness, giving weight to God’s Truth and elevating the Word above our circumstances.

REJOICE!

Scripture says “rejoice in the Lord always”. Can this hold true in our lives as believers in the current climate and times? The unmistakable response is YES! Rejoicing is not a reaction conditioned by our circumstances. Rejoicing is a response in heart and voice to God who we recognize as Lord of our lives; the author and center of our very existence. As a deliberate act and exercise of will, choose to rejoice in the Lord TODAY and ALWAYS.

Standing by Faith for Healing

What will be your stance when you've prayed and believed God for healing but the condition persists?  This teaching will help you to understand why it's vital to have faith in your heart, and the word of God in your mouth, to stand firm by faith, giving thanks to God focusing on his word and not physical symptoms.

Is Healing Strange?

In his Gospel, Luke describes Jesus healing a paralytic man that was let down through the roof by some men. Luke records the people saying “we have seen strange things today”. In this class, Pastor Jim explores why healing is considered strange and how we can become sensitive to God’s will for healing every time.

Joy, Trust, and Walking in Victory

Many have questions flowing from current events in our state and nation. Many more have questions flowing from the recent midterm elections and results. In spite of what the political landscape may look like, in spite of what the financial outlook may be, and in the midst of what will be trying times ahead, the believer can and ought to maintain wholesome joy and unshakable trust in the Lord. Trusting wholeheartedly in the Lord in whom is everlasting strength causes the believer to walk in the victory already provided in and through Christ Jesus.

Decisiveness: An Alternative view of Faith - Class 1

This class will introduce you to the role of decisiveness in manifesting the faith of CHRIST in everyday living. By the end of the course, the participants will be able to determine when they are in faith and how to activate faith in GOD when they are not walking in faith.
